President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday burst the bubble of leaders of the ruling APC party asking the National Executive Committee, NEC, to reverse its decision granting a tenure extension for party executives at all level.
He said he had received legal advice from the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice on the matter.
President Buhari said tenure extension was at variance with the party’s constitution as well as the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
