Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman found the net as Manchester United’s troubled campaign suffered another blow on Tuesday night with a 2-0 Champions League defeat to Atlético Madrid at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
Michael Carrick’s side desperately needed a strong result to ease mounting pressure on the head coach, but the Red Devils fell short once again in Europe.
Pablo Barrios struck inside the opening minute to set the tone early, leaving Manchester United chasing the game before Leny Yoro’s second-half red card reduced them to ten men.
Ademola Lookman then put the result beyond reach in the 79th minute, turning home a rebound to seal the victory and extend United’s winless run to five matches across all competitions.
