The Federal High Court, Abuja, has approved the Department of State Services (DSS) medical facility for the medical care of detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu’s lawyer, Mr. Aloy Ejimakor, disclosed the ruling on X on Thursday, October 16, noting the judge held that the DSS facility was “adequate.”
The court has given Kanu until October 30 to close his defence in the ongoing trial, which is set to resume on October 23 for the commencement of that defence.
“MAZI NNAMDI KANU’s case has just been adjourned to October 23, for “commencement of his defence”.
The judge further held that the DSS medical facility is adequate for his medical care and that MNK has until October 30 to close his defence,” Ejimakor said.
Persecondnews reports that Kanu is currently being tried for an alleged terrorism offence brought against him by the federal government.
