Drama unfolded on Thursday at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport when Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan was briefly stopped by immigration officials before being released.

The incident occurred as the Kogi Senator was attempting to board a flight to the UK with her husband for her stepson’s graduation ceremony.

Reports indicate that Akpoti-Uduaghan was informed she could not travel because her name had been placed on a watch list.

The Kogi Senator has been in the news recently, challenging her suspension by the Senate after openly protesting a change in her seating position.

She also accused the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, of sexual harassment, an allegation he has denied.
