The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday morning commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the 18 local government areas in Edo State.
The State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Onuoha Anugbum, supervised the exercise at the Central Bank of Nigeria premises in Benin.
“We are here; we have commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the local government areas,” Anugbum told journalists.
Persecondnews reports that party officials were also present to monitor the distribution process, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Despite the early morning drizzle, the distribution team worked tirelessly under a canopy set up for stakeholders, demonstrating their commitment to a smooth electoral process.
To ensure smooth logistics, hired vehicles were stationed next to the CBN, and the area was closed to commercial activity.
