A top delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has touched down in Uganda to begin high-stakes strategic discussions with the three PAMOJA co-host nations Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda responsible for staging the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Persecondnews reports that the two-day high-level meetings, scheduled to take place in Kampala on April 22 and 23, will centre on evaluating current progress and harmonising key delivery priorities for the major continental tournament.
According to CAF, the engagement will offer all stakeholders a vital platform to examine the next stage of preparations.
This includes detailed reviews of infrastructure development, logistics arrangements, security planning, and the operational frameworks essential for successfully hosting the event.
The PAMOJA bid, a collaborative joint-hosting arrangement by the three East African countries, was selected to organise the 2027 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, marking a historic return of the competition to the region.
CAF officials are set to conduct both separate and joint sessions with representatives from the host nations.
The aim is to guarantee that timelines are strictly observed and that all standards meet international requirements.
Organisers view the meetings as a decisive step in keeping the East African trio firmly on track to deliver a successful and memorable tournament in 2027.
