Controversial one-time Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has lost his marriage, a fourth time, this time to his estranged spouse, Precious Chikwendu.
She had given him four boys including triplets which were awash in the media months ago.
Following harassment and months of turning her into a punching bag, the former beauty queen has called it quits with Femi, who served as minister in the President Olusegun Obasanjo administration (2003-2007).
According to reports, the marriage broke down irretrievably a few months ago in the height of unrestrained domestic violence.
Precious, it was learnt, has since moved out of Femi’s home.
Fani-Kayode has yet to deny the story but has in the meantime threatened blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus, who broke the story, with libel.
Stella Dimoko had written that Femi a.k.a FFK might not have been the biological father of the triplets as they were produced via In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
The blogger also reported that the ex-minister had retrieved the car he bought for Precious.
Persecondnews recalls that Femi and Precious got married in 2014, thus becoming his fourth marriage.
Fani-Kayode’s first wife was Saratu Attah, daughter of former Kwara governor, Adamu Attah. They got married when he was 22. The marriage lasted between 1987 and 1990. They had a daughter together.
Next was his marriage in 1991 to Yemisi Olasunbo Adeniji. She is now known as Yemisi Wada after remarrying. She and FFK married immediately she finished at the Law School. The marriage collapsed after three years, with Yemisi already pregnant with the couple’s third child.
In an interview with Punch in 2015, she said she had no fond memories of the marriage.
“I have no fond memories of then except having my daughters, as I am sure he would say the same if asked. What people do not seem to realize is that we were together for only a very short while. The marriage itself lasted less than three years. The fact that I have three daughters makes it seem longer but I left just when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter”.
Again, in 1997, Femi married Regina Amonoo, when he was in Ghana during the Abacha years.
Then in 2014, he tied the nuptial knots with Precious.
