COVID-19 quarantined Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State says he is stable and in high spirits.
Ikpeazu, whose second Covid-19 test had turned positive, said his decision to present himself for a second test was to remove all doubts about his status, after testing negative initially.“As your Governor, I have a responsibility to do what is right and keep our people fully updated about my health status,” he said.
“Testing positive to the virus is not a death sentence,” Ikpeazu restated in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi.
He appealed to the people not to panic about his status but to continue to take issues concerning COVID-19 pandemic seriously.
“They should take all necessary precautions in line with the protocols enunciated by the NCDC.”
