Still dishing out judgments on the dispute March 9, 2019 governorship poll, the Supreme Court on Tuesday affirmed Mr Ahmadu Fintri of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the duly elected governor of Adamawa State.

The apex court held that the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Mr Jibrilla Bindow, failed to prove their case that Fintri emerged through over-voting.

Justice Mohammed Dattijo read the lead judgment of the seven-man panel of justices who heard the case.

They held that APC and Bindow did not prove that number of votes from the disputed 385 polling units exceeded the total number of voters that were accredited with both the Smart Card Readers, the Voters Register and the Form EC8A.
