Love of prized possession more than one’s life consumed a 26-year-old Lagos boy, who took a dive into a “death-well” to retrieve his phone.
The inevitable occurred at his shop located at 7 Olanrewaju Street, Mohan Bus Stop in Mushin Area of Lagos.
Cisse, who sat on the edge of the well, suddenly lost his phone as it fell into the well.
Within minutes, he took a decision to jump into the well to recover the N3,000 phone but ge never came out alive, a source said.
Officials of the Lagos State Fire Service were immediately informed and mobilised to the scene who brought him out stone dead.

The Acting General Manager, Lagos State Fire Service, Mrs Margaret Adeseye, said Cisse’s corpse had been handed over to the Olosan Police in Mushin.
