The Gunners watched a commanding early advantage disappear during a pulsating 2-2 stalemate against Wolves at Molineux Stadium despite bossing large spells of the contest.

Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal the perfect start by netting the opener within minutes, finally ending his 15-match personal scoring drought, before defender Piero Hincapié slammed home a second to leave the visitors cruising.

Wolves mounted a fierce fightback, however, with Hugo Bueno producing a stunning long-range strike to halve the deficit, then a late own-goal caused by a mix-up in the Arsenal backline levelled matters in the dying moments.

The frustrating result sees Mikel Arteta’s men drop two precious points in the Premier League title chase and potentially hand rivals Manchester City a lifeline at the top of the table.

Arsenal supporters were left anxious on the night after Saka limped off with a hip injury shortly following his goal, piling fresh fitness worries onto the squad at this decisive stage of the season.

Tempers boiled over towards the final whistle and into the aftermath, sparking heated confrontations between players of both sides on the pitch.

Bottom-of-the-league Wolves will take huge heart from their never-say-die recovery and the valuable point claimed against the current league leaders.

The Gunners now turn their attention to a fiery North London derby away at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
