1.2k

Arsenal extended their impressive record at Villa Park with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Aston Villa, courtesy of goals from Leandro Trossard and Thomas Partey.

The Gunners’ win marked their 28th triumph at Villa Park, surpassing their record at any other away ground in the club’s history.

Mikel Arteta’s side took the lead in the first half through Trossard’s clever finish, before Partey sealed the win with a powerful strike in the second half.

Arsenal’s dominance was evident throughout, with Villa struggling to create clear-cut chances against a solid Gunners defence.

The win sees Arsenal maintain their strong start to the season, while Villa will look to regroup and bounce back from their second consecutive defeat.

Arteta praises the team’s focus, describing Vill Park as a difficult away- ground to get results.

He said: “We knew it would be a tough game, but the team showed great focus and discipline.

“To win here for the 28th time is a remarkable record, and we’re proud to have extended it.”

With this win, Arsenal solidify their position near the top of the Premier League table, while Villa drops to mid-table.
