Embattled Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, whose real name is Azeez Fashola, and a Lagos socialite, Balogun Samson, also known as Sam Larry, have been released by the Lagos State Police Command on Friday.

The duo regained their freedom after successfully meeting their bail conditions as confirmed by Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesman.

In a brief statement released on Friday, Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police, said: “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”

The duo fulfilled the bail conditions set by a Lagos State Magistrates’ Court which had granted them bail in the sum of N20 million with three responsible sureties.

As part of the bail terms, Naira Marley and Sam Larry are required to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal and Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba.

The bails were granted on Monday, November 6, as both suspects were involved in an investigation relating to the death of Mohbad, following the circulation of online videos showing assaults against the late singer.
