Bawa is hale and hearty, says EFCC

The Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC) has said its chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, is hale and hearty.

The announcement came against the backdrop of reports that Bawa slumped at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday while delivering his goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration.

He was giving an update on the activities of the anti-graft agency when he told the audience that he could not continue.

A statement by the commission’s Head, Media and Publicity, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, said the clarification became necessary following the unfortunate incident.

“He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk,” the statement, a copy of which was obtained by Persecondnews, said.
