The expected 15-man medical team from China has arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The team came in a chartered Air Peace plane on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Federal Government, they are expected to assist Nigeria in its efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehainre was at the airport to receive the medical team.
The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), opposition parties and some well-meaning Nigerians had kicked against receiving medical assistance from China to fight the pandemic.
PerSecondnews recalls that COVID-19 broke out in China late 2019, the epic centre of the deadly virus.
So far the number of fatalities in Nigeria has reached seven since the virus spread to Nigeria in March.
