Barring last minute hitches, Lesotho Prime Minister Thomas Thabane is due in court on today (Feb. 20) charged with the murder of his estranged wife.
PerSecondnews recalls that Lilopelo Thabane, was felled by assassin’s bullet two days before Thabane’s inauguration in 2017.
“It has been agreed with his lawyer that he will appear (in court) and he will be formally charged with… murder,” said the country’s deputy police commissioner Paseka.
Lilopelo, who was 58, was gunned down by unknown assailants on the outskirts of the capital, Maseru, in June 2017.
