An NSCDC officer was recently arrested by men of the Nigerian Police and disarmed of his official rifle.
Nearly all of the exchange between the police officers and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, official was captured on video, but all of the details in the case are not currently known.
The video appears to have begun rolling about a minute into the NSCDC official’s encounter with the police officers—viewers do not get to see how the incident began.
In 2016, the Lagos State Police Command and the state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps were at daggers drawn over the refusal of the NSCDC to release its officials accused of killing a motorcyclist, Osita Okoye.
