ABUJA – President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara are currently meeting with the All Progressives Congress, APC, national caucus at the State House Abuja.
Conspicuously absent is the National leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the pioneer Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande were not present at the new Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, when the meeting started.
Tinubu has not hidden his explicit disdain for the Odigie-Oyegun’s party leadership.
The dispute started during the Ondo state governorship primaries and appeared to have left a trail of bruises. It heated up after Tinubu asked the chairman to resign. The feud has had few obvious practical consequences so far, according to top party officials.
Also at the closed-door meeting are the APC National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, other members of the National Working Committee and ministers
Governors (present & past), Federal lawmakers, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha and other cabinet members are attending the meeting
Meanwhile, Muhammadu Buhari is expected to lead several eminent Nigerians to Lagos Thursday as he chairs the 10th Bola Tinubu Colloquium to commemorate the 66th birthday of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
