[dropcap]O[/dropcap]tunba Bimbo Ashiru has pledged continuity during his visit to the  leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ogun State.

“I have been part of this vision since the inception of this administration and I believe so much in it and intend to purse it to a logical end to the admiration of the people of the state If given the mandate, he said, as part of his ongoing consultation towards clinching the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress, the APC in Ogun State for the 2019 general election.
Ashiru assured the leaders in Abeokuta and Sagamu, of his plans to continue with the on-going lofty vision of the state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, to rebuild Ogun State.
The Ogun commissioner of Commerce at the meeting acknowledged  the preference of Gov. Amosun for an Ogun West person as his successor but, charged the leaders from the Ogun East senatorial district to consult widely and work together with him believing that Ogun East Senatorial district will carry the day.
He also advised the people to shun money politics, because it breeds mediocrity . He promised the leaders an open door policy and good governance devoured of rancour if given their mandate.
He used the medium to debunked the  rumour flying around that, he is the anointed candidate of the governor.
The meeting which had in attendance almost all the State party exco members and  senatorial leaders in attendance  was counselled by  Dr. Gbolade Osinowo, former special adviser to former president Olusegun Obasanjo who also accompanied Otunba Ashiru to the meeting.
Osinowo. remarked that Ogun East had always support Ogun West in their quest to occupy the governorship since the creation of the State and cannot be blamed for their unsuccessful attempt. He concluded by seeking the support of the leaders for Otunba Ashiru because  according to the long existed gentleman arrangement, it is the turn of Ogun East Senatorial District to produce the next governor. He reiterated the commitment of leaders from Ogun East to continue consult widely in order to ensure the victory of their own, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru.
The State Party chairman, Chief Lemboye implored on Ashiru to feel free to go round the nooks and crannies of the State and canvass for support because, the Party did not zone governorship race to any part of the State. He noted  the governor’s preference for an Ogun West successor but he emphasized that he was only expressing his own personal opinion which he is entitled to.
