Former Green Eagles player, Kelechi Emeteole, died on Wednesday in an Indian hospital after a battle with cancer of the throat.
Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo, recently donated about $6,500 to the former Rangers International coach to settle some medical bills.
He reportedly died before a corrective surgery could be performed on him.
Emetole, who was known as The Caterpillar, would be remembered for his all-round performance in the five-year period he wore the green and white jersey of the Green Eagles
