Love gone sour: Why Actress Bukola Arugba dumped father of her twins, Damola Olatunji

1.2k

These are not good times for famous thespians, Bukola Awoyemi, also known as Arugba and her lover, Damola Olatunji as the lovebirds have announced their separation.

The news of their break-up left many in shock as there was no inkling of the troubles in their union which lasted about five years.

Olatunji and Arugba became an item when the latter got pregnant for the former who was already married with kids from another woman.

They moved in together but there was no formal or traditional wedding even after welcoming twins.

Per Seconds News learnt that Olatunji was said to have abandoned his former wife and went after Arugba when she got pregnant.

However, a new twist to their once-celebrated union came to the fore on Tuesday when Arugba shared a screenshot of a letter written by her lawyers on her Instagram account.

According to the letter, they have never been married to each other but are blessed with twins; a girl and a boy.

The letter reads: “We are solicitors to Ms. Bukola Awoyemi, also known as Arugba, hereinafter referred to as our client and on whose instruction we give this notice.

“Please take note that our client, Bukola Awoyemi and Mr. Damola Olatunji are no longer an item. They have gone their separate ways and this is without any hard feelings or ill will.

“They have never been married to each other but are blessed with two lovely children (twins).

“They have both agreed to jointly ensure that the wellbeing and welfare of their two children is guaranteed.

“Our client wishes Mr. Damola Olatunji God’s continued blessings.”

Information gathered by Per Seconds News suggested that the thespians have been having rough times in the past two years due to clash of interests and infidelity.

Arugba had threatened to dump Olatunji last year but for the quick intervention of family members, including Olatunji’s elder brother, who was a member of the Osun State House of Assembly during Gov. Gboyega Oyetola’s tenure.

Up till the time they confirmed their separation, they had worked together on a number of projects and stepped out as couple even at the burial of Murphy Afolabi in the last two weeks.
