Celebrated actor, Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, clocking the age of 72, says he is embracing it with gratitude and seeking God’s grace to savour the remaining chapters of his life in good health.

The veteran actor, whose children have taken up the mantle in the movie industry, is facing the reality that at his age, health challenges can be a part of life.

He acknowledged that it is not uncommon for people in their older years to contend with various ailments.

However, Oga Bello’s perspective is firmly rooted in a positive outlook.

During an exclusive interview with Per Second News, the reverred actor expressed his wish for divine grace to sustain his health and longevity.

“At this age, I still have the ability to produce and act in movies. In fact I just finished producing my movie. It is a fact that you can’t attain this age and not nurse one ailment or the other.

“I have been battling with hypertension for more than 40 years and I have lived with it. To God be the glory, I am still alive and well.

“I will continue to pray to God for grace to live the rest of my life in good health and happiness,” he told Persecondnews on Wednesday.

He emphasised that even though he had been dealing with hypertension since the age of 28, he was blessed with parents who lived well beyond 100 years despite sharing this condition.

As Oga Bello approaches his 75th birthday, he eagerly anticipates commemorating the milestone with a documentary.

This significant moment in his life, according to him, serves as a testament to his enduring legacy in the world of cinema.
