Ngige to continue leading FG-ASUU negotiations

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he minister of Labor & Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige is to continue leading the federal government, ASUU negotiations, according to a statement from the office of the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

The office also said that News reports that the Vice President, is now leading Federal Government negotiations with the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU is inaccurate.

The Vice President had a discussion after FEC with both the Labour Minister and Education Minister Malam Adamu Adamu around the issues, but has not taken over the negotiations as widely reported, said Laolu Akande in statement.  “Both Ministers will continue to lead the FG- ASUU talks, he said.

The Federal Government continues to diligently pursue a prompt resolution of this dispute and is confident the matter would be resolved, the statement concludes.
