The Director of Caleb Danladi Foundation, Mr Caleb Danladi, has advised the newly re-elected President, Mohammadu Buhari, to invest in the Education sector as it is critical to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He further urged stakeholders in the Education sector to ensure that priority is given to the development of each Nigerian child, so as to achieve its potential in life.

Danladi, who made the disclosure during a campaign to support children’s education in some schools in Kaduna state, said developing the Education sector will bring about National development to the country.

He said: “The future of children and their wellbeing lies largely on the quality of education been given, and they deserve the best because they are the hope and leaders of the future.

“If a concrete foundation is not consciously laid, it will severely affect the lives of the children when they become adults, which could affect the nation as a whole. It is the generation of children growing up today that will take their place as Nigeria’s leaders tomorrow”.

Danladi also charged the different state governors to improve the standard of Education, so that the student will be able to move up with the global standard.

“We cannot afford to sit on comfort zones any longer ,we all need to lift our voices and ensure that all children in Nigeria is educated . We are the change that the world is looking for, and need to deviate from all forms of complacency.”

In the same vein, he called on teachers to improve on the quality of education being given to students in the public and private schools .

According to him, “Several years back, people get high quality of education from public school, but the reverse is the case now as the standard have fallen now. Most of the student now cannot defend their certificate.”

The Director of the Foundation who donated school and writing materials to four schools in Kaduna, promised to continue to empower the vulnerable children in the society.
