Elumelu rings opening bell at the Nairobi Security Exchange

On April 12th, during an ongoing trip to East Africa, the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) chose to recognize chairman Heirs Holdings, Mr. Tony Elumelu for his success. The entrepreneur could not contain his excitement as he got the opportunity to ring the opening bell in the second best performing exchange in Africa.

“I am extremely honoured to be ringing the bell at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), leading Exchange in Africa, he said.

The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) is a leading African Exchange, based in Kenya – one of the fastest-growing economies in Sub-Saharan Africa. Founded in 1954, NSE has a six decade heritage in listing equity and debt securities. It offers a world class trading facility for local and international investors looking to gain exposure to Kenya and Africa’s economic growth.

Elumelu is currently on a 5 day visit to East Africa, aimed at reviving infrastructure, growth and development, in the region.

The trip is an opportunity to jump-start relationship with regional leaders and discuss issues around the growth and development of the their economies, enabling entrepreneurship, infrastructure financing, regional economic growth and how the private sector in Africa can work in shared purpose alongside African governments to create prosperity for all Africans.
