Mavin in Turmoil: Crayon Levels Explosive Allegations Against Don Jazzy, Hints at Label Exit

Social media was set ablaze on Sunday evening as Mavin Records artist Crayon launched a scathing and erratic tirade against his label’s leadership.

The 28-year-old singer-songwriter utilized X to signal a potential split from the powerhouse imprint, firing off a series of emotionally charged posts that oscillated between playful irreverence and grave accusations.

Targeting both founder Don Jazzy and COO Tega Oghenejobo, Crayon’s outburst began with a jarringly informal shout-out to Jazzy: “Don jazzy na my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!!?? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333.”

However, the levity vanished moments later as he turned his sights on Oghenejobo, branding him the “highest criminal” in a stinging public rebuke.

The Lagos-born artiste, who joined Blowtime Entertainment — an imprint under Mavin Records — in May 2019, escalated the drama with a bold claim that the label itself was headed for decline.

“Mavin is going down!!!!!!” he wrote in another post.

Crayon also took aim at the label’s biggest export, Rema, declaring that there would be no collaboration between them in the future.

In the now-viral post, he alleged that his creative shine had been taken from him, writing: “Rema for the next 100 years no feature. You stole my star from me. Yeah I took tha shiiiiii backkkkk hoeeeeerrrr!!!!! Snakkkkkkkeeeeeesssssssss.”

The outburst left fans puzzled, with many questioning whether the singer’s X account had been compromised.

However, the speculation remained unresolved, as Crayon has continued to maintain normal activity on his Instagram page without raising any alarm about a possible hack.

In the midst of the social media storm, the singer appeared to hint at a new chapter in his career by promoting details of a fresh venture, Olodum Entertainment, which he presented as his new creative platform.

He also circulated a new contact for professional bookings — Bookings@olodument.co.uk — signalling what many observers believe could be the beginning of an independent move away from Mavin Records.

Further checks by PerSecond News revealed that Crayon’s newly released single, “Baami,” is currently hosted under the Olodum Entertainment imprint, with no visible branding or association with Mavin Records on the project.

The singer doubled down on the announcement by calling on creatives to design a flag for the new label, making a flamboyant promise of a massive reward.

“Any weird creatives that can come with OLODUM ENT FLAGGSSSSS!!!! Gets 500M million naira cash!!!!! With love WARAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!” he wrote.
