Prominent Nigerian comedian Sabinus has advocated for collective citizen action to demand good governance.
As reported by PerSecondNews, the entertainer shared a message on social media questioning the public’s silence in the face of pressing national challenges.
“A lot is going on in this country and we’re just keeping quiet.
“You demand for good governance, they tell you to mind your business. You try to mind your business, they still insult you,” he wrote.
Sabinus expressed frustration over the reactions people receive when they speak out about governance, noting that even those who choose to stay away from public discussions are not spared criticism.
He questioned when Nigerians would set aside their differences and collectively demand accountability from those entrusted with leadership.
“When are we going to come as one and demand for what we’re being owed?” Sabinus asked, challenging Nigerians to reflect on the need for unity in demanding the responsibilities and services expected of their leaders.
