APC announces primary schedule: ₦100m for presidential hopefuls, ₦50m for governors

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released its 2027 general election timetable, scheduling the presidential primary for May 15–16, 2026.
 According to the schedule released by National Organising Secretary Sulaiman Argungu, and obtained by Persecondnews on Monday, the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will run from April 25 to May 2, with a submission deadline of May 4.
The party has set the presidential nomination package at ₦100m (₦30m for expression of interest and ₦70m for the nomination form).
Other fees include:
*Governorship: ₦50m
*Senate: ₦20m
*House of Representatives: ₦100m
*State House of Assembly: ₦6m
Screening of candidates is slated for May 6–8, with results expected on May 11.
 Following a brief window for appeals on May 12–13, the party will enter an intensive eight-day election window.
This begins with the presidential primary, followed by the House of Representatives on May 18, Senate on May 20, State Assembly on May 21, and Governorship on May 23.
All election-related appeals are expected to conclude by May 25.
The party, however, granted concessions to female aspirants, youths and persons living with disabilities, who are to pay for only the expression of interest forms and 50 per cent of the nomination fees.
The timetable stated that the schedule was in line with the Constitution, the Electoral Act and the Independent National Electoral Commission guidelines.
