The CAF Appeal Board officially overturned the 2025 AFCON final result, awarding a 3-0 win to Morocco after the Senegalese team left the pitch.
Senegal was found to have breached regulations after they walked off in protest of officiating in the final match.
In addition to losing the title, the Senegalese Federation was fined $615,000, and coach Pape Thiaw received a five-match ban and a $100,000 fine.
The action followed chaotic scenes, including on-field disputes over a
disallowed goal and a penalty awarded to Morocco.
This decision was made by the CAF Appeal Board on March 17, 2026.
