#FearlessInOctober: Police teargas protesters in Abuja market

The police have broken up a protest by #FearlessInOctober demonstrators, who gathered at Utako Market in Abuja to express their grievances about the country’s current economic hardship.

According to Persecondnews, the protesters had gathered at the market as early as 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

However, policemen promptly dispersed the protesters at about 8:54 a.m.

The October 1 protest, tagged #FearlessInOctober, is a continuation of the #EndBadGovernance protests held between August 1 and 10 in response to the economic hardship experienced by many Nigerians.
