The duo of Odumodublvck and Burna Boy, Nigerian music stars, has received prestigious nominations for the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, further solidifying their global influence.

Representing Nigeria, both artists are flying the country’s flag high at this year’s event, with Odumodublvck receiving his first-ever nod in the Best International Flow category, while Burna Boy is up for Best Live Performance.

Since breaking into the mainstream in 2023, Odumodublvck has risen to commercial prominence, quickly becoming one of Africa’s most recognized hip-hop stars.

His meteoric rise has now positioned him as the only Nigerian artist nominated at this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards, competing for the Best International Flow accolade.

He will be up against fellow rappers from France, Brazil, the UK, and South Africa in a bid to become the first Nigerian rapper to win the prestigious award.

Burna Boy, an established international powerhouse, has received a nomination for Best Live Performance.

He joins a star-studded category that includes hip-hop heavyweights such as Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Busta Rhymes, Cardi B, GloRilla, Megan Thee Stallion, and Missy Elliott.

Burna Boy’s electrifying performances have earned him global acclaim, and this nomination further highlights his growing dominance in live music spaces.

Both artists’ nominations reflect the significant strides Nigerian talent continues to make on the global stage, especially in the world of hip hop.

As the anticipation builds for the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, fans will be watching closely to see if Odumodublvck can secure a historic win for Nigerian rap and if Burna Boy will take home the Best Live Performance award.
