Nigeria’s famous content creator, Broda Shaggi, has revealed how he almost lost his life recently and may not have lived to celebrate his birthday this year.

The comedian, who turned a year older today, took to Instagram to share an emotional post reflecting on his second chance at life.

Alongside pictures from a last-minute birthday photoshoot, Shaggi spoke candidly about the life-threatening experience that changed his perspective.

In the heartfelt message, Broda Shaggi admitted that birthdays had never been a big deal for him, saying, “Birthdays are usually not my thing. In fact, I switch off my phone on these days cos I dislike receiving birthday calls and wishes.”

However, this year was different due to the recent scare he encountered, which left him feeling grateful to be alive.

Shaggi also shared a personal insight into his life, stating, “Only those who are close to me know Shaggi is not Samuel, but that ain’t a discussion for today, lol.”

The revelation of his near-death experience had led him to reflect more deeply on life and the persona he presents to the public versus his private self.

“The gift of life was almost taken from me recently, but God showed himself and gave me another chance,” Shaggi confessed, highlighting how his faith played a crucial role in his recovery.

He expressed his relief and gratitude, noting how the scare gave him a renewed appreciation for life.

Despite the gravity of the situation, the photoshoot marking his birthday was a spontaneous decision made just hours before, further underlining how the event was a unique moment for him.

“In fact, this photo shoot was done last night, lol,” he added.

The comedian expressed his gratitude to God for sparing him while acknowledging those who weren’t as fortunate.

“I know some birthday mates who aren’t here to celebrate theirs. I’m no different from them, but God has spared me for a reason, I’m sure,” he wrote, with a tone of humility and appreciation.

Shaggi went on to address his fans and supporters, stating that God had already given him the greatest gift—life.
