Chaos and disorder resigned in Sokoto State on Saturday morning following bandit’s rampage.

At least over a dozen students were abducted by the ferocious bandits at Tsangaya, Gidan Bakuso, in the Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

Persecondnews reports that about 48 hours had passed since bandits kidnapped more than 200 pupils and teachers from Government Secondary School and LEA Primary School in Kuriga, Kaduna State.

Liman Abubakar, the owner of the school in Tsangaya, confirmed the kidnapping.

“It happened at about 1am. We are still counting, but as of right now, some of our students are not present. At one in the morning, they broke into our community, shot one person, and took a woman hostage.

“They saw our students running to their dorms as they were leaving the town, so they abducted a large number of them.

“We are currently looking for more people, but we have counted 15 as missing so far,” he said.

Abubakar recalled that the village had previously experienced bandit attacks.
