A young soldier of 35 Artillery Brigade, Abeokuta, Ogun State, identified as 23NA84/ Gnr Boyi Thankgod, has reportedly shot himself dead.
Persecondnews gathered that the deceased soldier, took his life on January 15, 2024 while at the standby duty shed.
Sources at the barracks said he was a personnel of 353 Artillery Regiment, Ojo Cantonment, Lagos, and was attached to headquarters of 35 Artillery Brigade.
Authorities have begun investigation into the incident.
“We are just waiting for the military police officers to conclude the investigation to determine what led to the incident,” a source said.
