Why I have not fallen in love with another woman — Soso Soberekon

711

Artiste manager and entrepreneur, Soso Soberekon, has opened up on why he has yet to get married, having attained a full-blown adulthood.

“I am still single because the woman I fell in love with got married to another man when she couldn’t wait for me any longer.

“I didn’t blame her because I wanted to become a successful man before settling down but the woman couldn’t wait any further, she got married six years ago and I have not been able to love any woman since then,” he said.

Soso, who also spoke on his journey to success, said life wasn’t rosy for him as a young man but his determination never to give up freed him from the shackles of poverty.

Speaking in an interview on Gold Room, Soso said many people only celebrate his success story but don’t know what he went through when things were rough for him.

While many know him for his remarkable achievements in the music industry, he said not everyone knows about his early aspirations.

As a child growing up in Port Harcourt, Soso would often gaze at the skies with wonder, watching airplanes soar overhead.

His eyes would sparkle with dreams of becoming a pilot, navigating those vast blue expanses with skill and finesse.

Soso said his parents, who recognized his passion and ambition, encouraged his dreams.

According to him, they would take him to airshows, where he could get up close to the majestic aircraft and meet real-life pilots.

“These experiences fueled my determination to someday wear the coveted pilot’s uniform.”

Soso said life had different plans for him as he grew older, adding that his interests evolved, and he found a deep passion for music.

“I immersed myself in the world of entertainment, eventually I became a prominent artiste manager and entrepreneur.”

While Soso Soberekon’s childhood dream of becoming a pilot may not have materialized, he said his journey led him to a different kind of stardom.

According to him, he became a guiding force in the music industry, helping artists reach new heights and shaping the landscape of Nigerian music.

Speaking about his journey into the entertainment industry, the multi-talented instrumentalist said he was once a studio rat until he became a music producer and met top Nigerian music acts due to his ability to play the keyboard, adding that becoming a force in the entertainment didn’t happen overnight.

Soso, who is also known as Whitelion, said he worked with Kcee and the Five Star Music family before he became a music business executive.

Soso who now calls himself an agent of solution, noted that “I am Into different businesses. I am now investing in products and services. They call me Whitelion but I am an agent of solution; I believe I am in this world to provide solutions to people’s problems.”
