Just in: Ex-Justice Minister, nonagenarian Bola Ajibola, exits

A former Minister of Justice and ex-judge at the World Court at the Hague, Prince Bola Ajibola, has passed on.

Aged 89 years, Ajibola, founder of Crescent University, Abeokuta, died in the wee-hours of Sunday at his Abeokuta, Ogun State home.

Ajibola’s son, Mr Segun Ajibola, confirmed the passing on of the jurist in a statement released Sunday morning in Abeokuta and given Persecondnews.

He stated“With very deep heart and gratitude to Almighty Allah.

“Our Dad, Prince Bola Ajibola, departed this world over midnight. May Almighty Allah bless him with Aljanah Firdaus.’

Ajibola, a Prince of Owu Egba kingdom was also a member of the World Court at Hague and Founder of the Crescent University, Abeokuta.

He was a close friend of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the late Chief Bola Ige, former Oyo governor and Minister of Justice in the Obasanjo administration.

Ajibola is expected to be interred today in Abeokuta, according to Islamic rites.
