President Bola Tinubu is currently engaged in high-level talks with state governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.
The meeting, which was initially scheduled for 4 p.m. in the Council Chambers, got underway approximately an hour later in the Conference Room of the President’s Office due to a last-minute venue adjustment.
In attendance were Prof. Babagana Zulum (Borno), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Peter Mbah (Enugu), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), among others.
Fresh off an emergency closed-door summit with Senate leadership, Tinubu’s consultations highlight the urgency of the moment.
Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Senate Leader, characterized the outcome as “far-reaching” regarding national priorities.
