Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold, has said he may have been a forgotten music artiste if he had not switched up his style of music when he did some years back.
According to the Shade crooner, making up his mind to change the style and face of his music against the advice of some of his fans helped him to remain in the game till now.
Adekunle Gold being audacious and not following the rules made by some people, said he dances to his own tune and thanked God and his fans who stuck with him on the journey and allow him to be himself.
“Some of you trolled me when I released ‘Catch Me If You Can’ (CMIYC) but it has remained my successful music project yet. I am happy that it came out the way I wanted it sonically and my fans love it.”
He urged his fans to get ready for what’s coming this year which he called “Tío Tequila Time.”
He warned those comparing him to other artistes to desist in music polls, adding: “I am cut from a different cloth. Nobody like me. I can do what they do; they can’t do what I do. Thank you to everyone rocking with me.”
