20 housemates battle for $100,000 as BigBrother Titans set Nigeria ‘against’ South Africa

The very first season of Africa’s biggest reality TV show, BBTitans, premiered on Sunday, January 15, 2023, with two countries – Nigeria and South Africa – in one house.

With a combination of elements from both BBNaija and BBMzansi, viewers are sure to enjoy a daily dose of pure entertainment from the housemates for the next few months.

From the early scenes viewed by a Per Seconds News correspondence, one could tell that Nigerians and their South African counterparts are in full mood to stand behind their favourites housemates.

Interactions among the housemates have already been tilting towards lives, careers, relationships and marriages.

For some of them, it was observed that they want to show the rest of Africa and beyond that they came prepared for the show that would see the winner walk away with $100,000.

There are early signs of cultural clash among the house mates as they see things differently because of their cultural backgrounds, making the whole show open to cultural diversification.

At the live premiere show on Sunday which lasted about two hours, guests were instantly connected with the housemates as they revealed their plans and strategies while stepping into the house.

Music performances from Nigerian multi award-winning artiste D’banj and South African sensation, Boohle, also added colour and excitement to the Sunday live show.

The show’s hosts, Lawrence Maleka and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu introduced 20 housemates, 10 from each country.

Meet the 20 housemates;

-Yemi Cregx from Nigeria is a fashion influencer and he is 30-year-old.

-Juicy Jay, a semi pro ruby player from South Africa aged 30.

-Olivia is an actress and content creator from Nigeria, she is 23-year-old.

-Nelisa, the fifth housemate is a South African, born in Durban and raised in Cape Town. The 25-year-old fancies men that are tall, dark and handsome.

-Blaqboi is a film maker and content creator from Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. He is 26-year-old.

-Mmeli, a South African, is a model and he is 25-year-old.

-Nana is an entrepreneur who dropped out of school. She is from Kaduna State, Nigeria, aged 22.

-Ipeleng is a Law student and aspiring content creator. She is 25-year-old.

– Marvin is 29-year-old chemical engineer and model from Nigeria.

-Thabang is a Data analyst from Soweto, South Africa. He said he is always ready to groove.

-JayPee is a Nurse from Lagos State, Nigeria. She said she is ready to show off her drip in the House.

-Yaya is a model, actress and TV presenter from South Africa, aged 31.

-Ebubu is an actor and a model. He is 28-year-old from Anambra State, Nigeria and feels ecstatic and elated as a housemate. He intends to fall in love in the House.

-Khehla is a sales executive from South Africa and aged 31.

-Jenni O is a Health and Safety specialist from Nigeria. She is 25.

-Tsatsii is an art lover and a scientist from South Africa. She is 24.

-Kanaga Junior from South Eastern part of Nigeria, came dancing, full of energy and showing different steps.

-Justin is a content creator from South Africa. He is 21-year-old.

-Yvonne is a model, skincare enthusiast and interior designer from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. She is 27-year-old.

All the 20 housemates will be vying for a cash prize of $100,000 and other mouth-watering prizes in the next 10 weeks.
