Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, is in the news again and this time, the actor revealed that he has been comtemplating quiting acting for full-time minsterial work.

For him, it’s all over for the entertainment industry as he hinted that he will be embracing pastoral work anytime from now.

Edochie in a new Youtube video released on Thursday dislcosed that God has called him to become one of his ministers, saying God made him famous in the entertainment industry so as to use his popularity and fame for the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The actor, who is the son of veteran actor, Peter Edochie, no doubt has had a his fair share of scandals in the entertainment industry.

Persecondnews recalls that he almost lost his first marriage months back when his wife, Mary, threatened to desert him after he announced the arrival of his son from another woman.

In a video he shared, the actor claimed he had received the instruction to go into ministry long ago without taking steps to actualise it.

He noted that the time has come for him to take steps, saying “the calling has become very strong on him.”

“I have a calling to be a preacher of God, to be one of God’s ministers to preach the word of God through words and actions,” he said in the video.

“I’ve had this calling a long time ago – actually, many years ago. But, I have always felt maybe the time hadn’t come, the time wasn’t right. But now, it’s very strong. I feel the time has come.”

Yul also added that God had given him fame so that he could eventually use it for the ministry.

“God has blessed me in this life. By God’s grace, I’ve become one of the biggest, one of the most celebrated actors on the continent of Africa. God has taken me to a very high point in my career.

“I’m starting to realise God lifted me as an actor to where I am so that I can become one of his ministers,” he stated.
