NIRSAL signs MoU with CNFA to leverage agribusiness in Nigeria

In a bid to promote agribusiness and provide technical assistance to the sector, NIRSAL Plc has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an international agricultural development organization — Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA).

NIRSAL Managing Director/CEO, Aliyu Abdulhameed, said at the signing ceremony that Mapping to Markets (M2M) Framework was part of project for immediate collaboration for both parties.

According to him, the M2M is the non-bank financial institution’s strategy innovating Agribusiness approach on the transformation of the Upstream segment of the Agricultural value chain and the development catalyst for all other value chain segments.

 

 

M2M is anchored on the creation of optimized ready-for-sale agricultural primary production units. ready for finance in order to service identified output markets, he said.

ln a statement given to Persecondnews.com, NIRSAL said CNFA specializes in the design and implementation of sustainable, enterprise-based agricultural initiatives.

They also work with businesses, foundations, governments, and communities to build customized local and global partnerships that meet the world’s growing demand for food.
