WTO DG, Dr Okonjo-Iweala, delivers first Amaka Ndoma-Egba memorial lecture Dec. 11 in Abuja

The Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will on December 11, 2021 deliver the maiden edition of Amaka Ndoma-Egba Memorial Lecture on “Leadership, Legacy and Change.”

The lecture which will hold at Start-Rite Schools, Abuja, will be chaired by Mr. Tony Elumelu, Chairman, Heirs Holdings.

A former Senate Leader and ex-Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission, Sen. Victor Ndoma-Egba, CON, SAN, announced this in a programme commemorating the first memorial anniversary of his wife, Amaka, a copy of which was given to Persecondnews.com.

According to the programme, the unveiling of the Victor and Amaka Ndoma-Egba Foundation will follow immediately after the lecture.

The evening will also feature readings by Dike Chukwumerije.

On Friday 19th November 2021, the Catholic Bishop of Ogoja, Rt. Rev. Dr. Donatus Edet Akpan will  celebrate a memorial mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Akparabong, Ikom, Cross River State at 11am in memory of Mrs. Amaka Lauretta Ndoma-Egba,  founder of Start-Rite Schools, Abuja.

Persecondnews.com recalls that she died in a motor accident on the Ore-Okitipupa Road in Ondo State on Thursday 19th Nov 2020.

His Lordship will also dedicate the St. Lauretta’s Chapel of Adoration built by me in her remembrance within the church’s premises.

On the 11 of December, 2021 being the first anniversary of her burial, a memorial mass will be celebrated at the Church of The Assumption, Asokoro, Abuja by His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, Archbishop Emeritus of Abuja.

He will be assisted by the Auxiliary Bishop of Abuja, Rt. Rev. Dr. Anselem Umoren at 12.00 (noon).

Amaka Ndoma-Egba was born on May 29, 1966, died on November 19, 2020, on her way to an event at Akure, in a ghastly auto crash.
