A former Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Ahmed is being grilled at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja over alleged diversion of N9 billion while he was governor.

The PDP governor, a protege of former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, left office in May 2019 after serving two terms.

Ahmed had arrived at the EFCC headquarters at 10.00am on Monday, a development the commission’s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed.
