COVID-19 pregnant patient gives birth at LUTH

A COVID-19 patient, who was admitted heavily pregnant, has been delivered of a baby at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
The 40-year-old mother was successfully delivered of the 3.3kg baby, the hospital authorities said.
The hospital had announced in a tweet on Monday afternoon: “The mother and the child are well and alive.
“A team of LUTH Drs, anaesthetists and nurses delivered a woman with Covid19 of a baby girl this afternoon 40-year-old mother and 3.3kg baby are doing fine.
“Our gratitude goes to these gallant men and women and all warriors making the nation proud in the face of this scourge.”
