For the umpteenth time, Pirates Strike ln Niger Delta, Killing Four Soldiers, Two Civilians

Some suspected sea pirates have attacked an oil barge near the Lutegbene River in Ekeremor Council Local Area of Bayelsa State, killing four soldiers and two civilians on board.
The incident occurred at about 5pm on Sunday when the vessel was said to be heading to Delta State from Rivers State.
“The vessel was going to Delta State from Port Harcourt when the pirates highlighted from the creeks and attacked them.
“Four military personnel and two civilians were killed,” sources said.
PerSecondnews recalls that in January  some unknown gunmen suspected to be pirates reportedly killed four naval ratings at Agge, a coastal community boundary Bayelsa and Delta States.
Other people on board also sustained various degrees of injuries during the attack, according to reports.
Out of anger,  military personnel in search of the pirates, swooped on the community and allegedly set some buildings ablaze.
Contacted, the spokesman for the Joint Task Force (JTF), Operation Delta Safe, Eromosele Unuakhalu, said he had just handed over as spokesman of the task force.
