The embattled former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Mohammed Bello Adoke, is expected in Nigeria on Thursday afternoon from Dubai, where he was allegedly “arrested” by Interpol.
The Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) boss, Mr Ibrahim Magu had engaged Dubai authorities on the need to apprehend Adoke as he was being wanted in Nigeria for alleged economic crimes.
Adoke, who left Dubai following pressure from the EFCC, was accompanied by INTERPOL officers aboard Emirates Airlines Flight 785.
The aircraft departed the Emirati commercial capital at about 11.00 am Dubai time (8am Nigerian time) and he is expected to arrive in Abuja at about 3.40 pm, a report said.
Adoke is being wanted in connection with the Malabo oil scandal.
