The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku on Thursday commended Nigerians for their commitment and sacrifices towards rescuing the nation from misrule, adding that such sacrifices will not be in vain.
Atiku made the statement in a meeting with the party’s NEC at the secretariat in Abuja.
“Our aim is to work very hard and collectively liberate our nation from the shackles of hunger, starvation, deprivation, bloodletting, killings and division which bedevil us today.
” We must all work hard to return our nation to the path of harmony, peace and progress, he said.
Meanwhile, the PDP also announced a powerful 154- man National Campaign Council for the presidential election.
