The Federal Government has kicked off a two-day sensitization tour of ongoing and commissioned projects in Enugu and Ebonyi states, aimed at deepening public engagement and showcasing the current administration’s reforms.

Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris led the delegation to Enugu State, noting the significance of the South-East geopolitical zone in Nigeria’s overall development.

“President Bola Tinubu is making reforms to make Nigeria work again and has made tremendous progress in the past two years,” Idris said.

During a meeting with Governor Peter Mbah at the Government House in Enugu, Idris highlighted the removal of fuel subsidy as a bold decision that has freed up resources for impactful governance.

“The removal of fuel subsidy was a bold decision taken by the president, and the action has freed up resources for impactful governance for Nigerians,” he explained.

This move, according to Idris, has accelerated project delivery across the country.

Persecondnews reports that following the tour of projects, a Citizens’ Engagement Forum was held at the Enugu State Government House, providing a platform for stakeholders and citizens to share feedback with government representatives.

The forum aimed to foster dialogue, gather feedback, and strengthen collaboration between the government and the public.

Mbah expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the concession of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, noting that the projects embarked upon in the state wouldn’t have been possible without the reforms taken by the president.

The State Government reiterated its commitment to supporting the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Mbah thanked the president for the concession of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport and pledged to work closely with the federal government to drive development in the state.
