Tinubu Appoints New Executive Directors For River Basin Development Authorities

President Bola Tinubu has appointed new executive directors for the river basin development authorities nationwide under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.

According to Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy in a statement on Friday, the appointments are aimed at enhancing water management and rural development.

Persecondnews reports that Mr. Sowade Adebayo will replace Mr. Julius Oloro as the Executive Director of Engineering Services at the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority in Abeokuta.

Mr. Chucks Erhire will take over as Executive Director of Engineering Services at the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority, succeeding Dr. Austin Nonyelim Izagbo while Mr. Sunday Hassan has been appointed Executive Director of Planning at the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority.

The President urged the new appointees to work towards improving water management and rural development for the benefit of all Nigerians.

“I’m counting on you to bring about positive change in the lives of our people,” Tinubu said.
