Nigerian comedian and actor Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has hinted at his readiness to share details of his near-death experience that kept him away from the public eye for months.
The skit maker, who recently returned to social media after a prolonged absence, made the announcement in a video shared on his Instagram page obtained by PerSecondNews, raising expectations among fans eager to understand what he went through.
Shaggi’s announcement comes months after reports emerged in March 2026 that he had reportedly been shot while filming around the Sango-Ota Bridge area of Ogun State.
The incident sparked widespread concern among fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
Following the reports, the comedian remained largely out of the public eye, fuelling speculation about his health and recovery.
However, details surrounding the incident and the full extent of his experience have remained largely unclear.
His prolonged silence also generated anxiety among supporters, many of whom took to social media to express concern and offer prayers for his wellbeing.
His eventual return prompted renewed excitement among fans who had been waiting for news about him.
In August, Shaggi expressed appreciation to supporters who had stood by him during his absence, admitting that he was not yet ready to disclose everything he had experienced.
He, however, assured them that he hoped to return stronger and reconnect with his audience.
The comedian’s latest statement suggests that he may be preparing to offer a more personal account of the ordeal, although the full details of what happened and when he intends to share them remain unclear.
Shaggi, one of Nigeria’s popular skit makers, rose to prominence through his comedy videos and has since expanded into acting and other entertainment projects.
His anticipated account of the near-death experience is likely to attract significant attention from fans who have followed his career and expressed concern over his recent absence.
